Title: Setting Sail on a Friendship
Characters: Quentin Kinley and Tyler Jordan Graham
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 6235
Notes: So.... this is where it all started. This whole timeline, all these characters, everything about this got started with these two morons and the events of this story. The logs of the original RP have been long lost, and I don't really remember how it went that time, so I just wrote the entire thing to suit what I've done with them. I realize that people who are coming to the timeline are going to read this before the 20 other stories I have written about these two, so... welcome to my story, folks. I hope you enjoy it. I've put a lot of work and a lot of heart into these dumbasses and I love them a lot and I hope you will love them a lot too.

Allons-y!

Timeline: June 13, 2013

when we first meet our heroes... okay, our protagonists... okay, the couple of dumbasses the story follows... )

Title: Tripping
Character: Doug Walker
Rating: PG-13 for drug use and a little bit of language.
Word count: 2039
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] itsproductivity, doubling up on prompts because I'm a cheater. January 7 and January 10. I did a little research for this one, and this is definitely an explanation of why Doug made some of the life choices he did. xD

Once, when no one was looking, Doug walked away from a family reunion, hearing something just on the edge of audible. He was eleven years old, and his cousins were either very much older-- fifteen and far too mature to want to talk to a kid like Doug-- or very much younger-- three and four year olds chasing each other around under the watchful eyes of aunts and mothers; with nothing else to do, and the echo of what might have been fairy music teasing his ears, he wandered away from his grandfather's farmhouse and followed the drums and the high, piercing voices through fields of corn higher than his head.

Title: Play Again, Get Lucky
Character: Warren Clement.
Rating: G
Word count: 761
Summary: Okay, I haven't slept, and I have this poor guy sitting around in my head for the past two weeks waiting for something to happen. So: sort of an introduction to a man on the go.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] itsproductivity, prompt January 3: Write about a person who wins something he or she does not want.

Warren's a lucky enough guy. Considering all the driving he does and the fact that he's never been in an accident, he counts that as incredibly lucky on its own; he sticks his name in for raffles and sweepstakes and guess-how-many-jellybeans-in-this-jars, and he's won more than a few times-- nothing big, but hey, free jellybeans, or movie passes, or crazy promotional stuff. He's learned a lot of things since he's been on his own, and one of those things is that free stuff is good.

but that doesn't include stolen stuff. he's a good, upright citizen. )

Title: The Best Things in Life (Are Free)
Characters: Iggy Chaucer, Carson Mitchell
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 2770
Summary: What do you get your sugar daddy for Christmas? Iggy doesn't think an XBox 360 will cut it.

Carson hasn't cut his hair since they made it across the border-- not the Mexican border, the Canadian one, which was about a month earlier, a week after the bizarre series of events that brought them together in the first place. Which makes it, well, quite a while since Iggy looked across a bank counter and thought that the kid with the scared eyes and the gun needed a break. He's been tracking the time, not in days, but in the way Carson's hair went from cropped to choppy, from always sticking up to gently curling, in how very young Carson looks with a soft, sun-streaked white boy 'fro.

They have an apartment in Puerto Vallarta, a clean little place they've paid through for a year; the best part about it, in Iggy's opinion, is the wide window in their bedroom, looking out over the Pacific and the very southernmost part of Playa Los Muertos. For all his best intents to adopt a lazy lifestyle, he still wakes up early; the routines of his normal life have been replaced by new ones: time spent watching Carson sleep, smiling to himself at the way the younger man twitches like a puppy while he dreams, chasing what, he's never asked; sneaking out of bed for a shower and coming back to wake Carson up with his hair dripping wetly all over Carson's tanned-golden chest, minty-fresh breath and good-morning kisses and the chance of not making it out of bed again until much later.

damn, it feels good to be a gangsta )
